About Me

I’m Charlie Bowness, a dedicated and passionate photographer based in the UK, specialising in both landscape and equine photography. At just 20 years old, I’ve developed a strong eye for detail and a deep appreciation for capturing authentic moments—particularly within the equestrian world. My work blends technical precision with artistic expression to create images that reflect the beauty, strength, and grace of horses in both everyday life and competitive settings.

My primary ambition lies in equine event photography, where I strive to document the energy, connection, and emotion of each moment, whether it’s in the ring, on the field, or behind the scenes. Photographing horses in action is more than just a profession—it’s a lifelong passion driven by my love for animals and the natural world.

I’ve been fortunate to gain practical experience through my ongoing work with LRG Photography, where I’ve worked on a variety of shoots, from live equestrian events to editorial-style sessions. This experience has not only sharpened my technical skills but also taught me the importance of timing, patience, and understanding my subjects—human and animal alike.

In addition to equine photography, I’m also drawn to the serenity of landscapes and the challenge of portraiture. As I continue to grow in my career, I aim to explore more creative portrait work, blending natural light and outdoor environments to create compelling and emotive imagery.

Photography, for me, is not just about taking pictures—it’s about telling stories, preserving memories, and celebrating the beauty in every moment. Whether you’re looking for a dynamic equine event photographer or someone to capture the quiet power of a landscape or portrait, I bring energy, professionalism, and a creative vision to every project.
